Goblin Valley State Park!

We decided on Saturday to take a trip down to Goblin Valley State park. We had a great time and we hiked our hearts out, probably hiked a good 3 miles. We had a nice picnic and had some quality family fun, it was a blast!

A little Crush!

Can little 5 year olds have crushes? My answer is yes! Alaina has this little guy who thinks she's wonderful. On Thursday The boys came running in the house telling me a little boy on the bus named Aaron gave Alaina a kiss on the cheek and told her he loved her. I asked her about it and she's a little embarrest and doesn't wanna talk to much about it. She says he chases her around at recess too. So on sunday at church we were walking out to the car and the little boy ran up to Alaina and chased her all the way to our car, my boys pointed at him and said this was Aaron.(Yes, he happens to be in our ward to.)His mother was a little confused and gave him a dirty look. So I had to explain to her what had happened, she was kind of embarrest and appologized, but I told her not to worry about it at this age I think it's kinda cute. To make it even more cute is that this little guy is about as tall as Alaina is, and if you know Alaina shes a tiny little thing for her age, he's older then her and just as short. I thought he was younger, maybe 3 years old when I saw him. We will keep an eye on them, i'm not too worried...But I guess if it's starting allready I've got my handsfull with Alaina and these crushes. Who can resist with a sweet little face like that anyways!

We Painted the Kitchen!

We decided to paint the kitchen on Wensday. It's Light Topaz......What do you think? We finished up the cabinets and trim, all painted white. We did that yesterday. The color turned out great, but a little different then Imagined. It's more orange tinted then I wanted. But the it looks so much better. Even Clayton said it actually feels like it's home now. The more we do to our house, the more comfortable and settled we feel. Our house is so unique! The bathroom and the boys room is next to be painted, but we will probably take a break before starting painting again.

Finally have my ring!

I got my ring back!!! Most of you who know me well enough, know that I have had drama over my wedding ring. First, one of the big diamonds fell out and was no where to be found. It was so sad, I was so upset. We couldn't afford to fix my ring. I went about 2 years with out wearing my ring. Sad I know! Then my rental insurance said they would cover my ring up to $2500 dollars....So I took my ring into Jewelry store, closest of which is an hour away... they said it would take a few days to a get an estimate and fax info to my insurance company. I said that was fine and to call me as soon as possible. Two weeks later nothing..so I called them--they never faxed anyting, didn't even do an estimate.......so I finally had my sister in law pick up my ring for me....had to ask my insurance company for more time on my claim, they almost closed my case. I wasn't going to trust the same place to fix my ring, so thanks to my wonderful sister in law, she took it to a great place and they called me the very next day, faxed my insurance company the same day.....week later got my insurance money and told the jewelry to fix my ring and low and behold, it's all done and fixed and I've got my beautiful ring back on my finger again and I couldn't be more thrilled!!!
