This was our East Egg hunting. We had lots of my family come down to our house for Easter this year and it was so great to see everyone and be able to see all the cousins playing and having a blast together. We also had a scavenger hunt(Thank you, Aunt Cindy!), that was a hit- We ended with a pinata for the kids and the kids couldn't have had a better ending to a wonderful day of Eastering. We had so much fun the weekend went by way to fast! We love and appreciate all of you.

Look at what I found!

Look at what I found in my Chicken Coop today! One of my poor chickens layed a "Jumbo" egg today. The other 3 are normal sized eggs, and this x-larger egg has to be double the size of the others and I bet it's even got a double yolk! We have 57 eggs in the fridge right now. I guess if the economy gets so bad and we have to fend for ourselves, atleast we will have eggs, right?

Coloring Easter Eggs!

It's less then 2 weeks until Easter now, I'm getting a little excited! I thought it would be a good idea to have the kids color some easter eggs today after school, for a fun activity! We had about 3 1/2 dozen in the fridge that need to get used. I got a cheap kit from the dollar store and the kids had a good time. Of course, Mackay thinks he's to old for that kind of stuff, so he wasn't there. Gotta love nearly pre-teens! All the eggs are from our Chickens, fresh and organic--couldn't get any better then that. Love the girls they've been giving us about 6-7 eggs each day now! We also decided that the easter eggs would be a great dinner, yum yum.

Silly foolishness at School!!!

ApRiL FoOlS dAy!!! The kids Elementary school earned a reward day for meeting all thier goals and they decided to have a Silly Day! They got to wear silly hats, hair, socks, & clothes within the school dress code of course. They did look silly! Clayton's clothing consists of a very colorful hat, old levi's with one leg cut off, backwards shoes and his dads very ugly fish tie! Mackay as you can see was not enthused about all this foolishness, but he pulled it off with a church shirt and superman pj's. Brenden decided to wear his levi's inside out and backwards, one snow boot and one regular shoe, and a orange sweater with his dad x-large green shirt inside out and backwards on top. They get to have a pizza party among many other fun things.
