Our raft got blow out to sea:) A nice man brang it back with his waver runner! So then we tied it with a rope to a picnic table and then it wasn't going anywhere.
Hanging out at the condo
Alaina was very sick and throwing up on Monday, poor thing!
All the cousins playing together!
Every year my family plans a 24th of July activity together and this year it was at Bear Lake! Thanks to my wonderful step mother Jane with a time share, we are able to get condo's in different places. Erin had to work that weekend, so I drove up by myself with all the kids. It was a 6 1/2 hour drive for us. Friday we left home around 3 in the afternoon and stayed at my Dads In Layton that night. Saturday morning we drove the rest of the way up to Bear Lake. That day we got settled in our Condo and spent a nice day at the Beach, Later on that night we had an amazing dinner with the whole family and we let off fireworks that night, the kids had a blast. All the cousins had a blast playing together. I got to see my Brother Jeff, his family and thier new Baby Mason, he's so adorable and I'm so happy for them--they have such a sweet little family. Sunday was a interesting day to say the least, we relaxed in the condo that morning with my sister Jill and sister Cindy and thier kids. In the afternoon we decided to go down to the beach. First off, we couldn't get Cindy's Sun Tent to set up, she had lost the instructions so it took us a good 30 hr-45 minutes setting up the tent, allmost giving up and then figuring it out eventually. Then My sister Jill lost her car keys in the sand, she never ended up finding them and her husband had to drive up from SLC to bring her the spare key. We spent 3 hours that day looking for those keys, digging in the sand and another 2 hours making phone calls to find help, to no avail! Then as we were leaving the beach, my Sister Cindy accidently locked her keys in her car. So then the only car drive~able was mine! Luckly Cindy was able to call her husband and send the spare key with another family member up to Bear Lake! Needless to say it was an exhausting day. Then On Monday we woke up with Alaina throwing up, She had a horrible morning. My dad and step mom Jane wanted to watch Alaina for me while we went to the beach for the afternoon. We had a great time at the Beach! We swam and played in the sand all afternoon. Then had another wonderful dinner together as a family. Tuesday morning Alaina was feeling alot better and slept all night with out throwing up. We drove home Tuesday and it went by smoothly, we had a great time, but It's good to be home!
Look at those cute kids, Alaina Dressed up as cinderella!
July 21st, the Tri-County Bookmobile Library held their End-of-the-Summer-Reading-Program PARTY! Keeping with the theme “Be Creative…” there were booths set up to do just that. The booths were… “Be Creative with face painting” where the kids got to have thier faces painted “Be Creative with Music” where the kids made some fun shaker instruments. “Be Creative with Crafts” where the kids made butterflies! “Be Creative with Thumb Art” where the kids turned their thumbprints into all kinds of fun characters! “Be Creative with a puppet show” where the kids played with puppets to make up their own show! “Be Creative with chalk art” where the kids worked their magic drawing some fun art! “Be Creative with Balloons” where the kids played water balloon volleyball… There were balloon animals all over, decorating the party; another creative thing to do with balloons! They had a bean bag toss, snow cones, popcorn, and treats… One of the highlights of the party was having our local DJ there to play some fun music and turn our party into something GREAT! The kids were rockin’ to the “Silly Dance” contest song, “Hands are for Clapping” and many more delightful songs! Many of the kids dressed up like a character from a book or something from one of our story time programs and received a FREE BOOK!
Alaina loves puzzles and expectually if they have horses or other animals on them. She was so proud of herselve for doing this one all by her self, How cute is that!
Our small town Library amazes me, they put alot of time and effort into making each story time a great experience for the kids. The kids always have such a great time! This time they had alot of fun, dancing and reading books about dancing. They had all the kids wear red, white and blue to show patriotism and they talked about the flag and how we take care of it. Also they let the kids do the big parachutes, which the absolutely had a blast doing. Afterwards they gave all the kids popsicles!
We had a great 4th of July. We went to the parade in the morning, which the kids just loved and it couldn't have been better weather and we found the perfect place in the shade. In our small town the parade goes by one way and comes back the other way, it's fun! Later that afternoon My Dad, My step Mom Jane and Step Brother Scott came to visit and we went out for Ice-cream and went swimming at the hotel pool and too dinner later on that night. When it got dark we did sparklers and a few fire works with the kids--What a great Independence day!
