Lake Powell

Disclaimer: Picture Overload:) I took about 170 pictures over that weekend, so I had to pick and choose what to post about. Enjoy!

These little gray and white birds would come really close to us on the beach, eating the bugs!

Playing in the water, I am there some where!

Beautiful views of Lake Powell!

The kids called this Diaper Diving:) It was Hilarious. They would put the life jackets on like diapers and dive in the water, it was so funny!

We had a great time at Lake Powell this year, We got there friday evening and stayed until Sunday afternoon. Erin's Brother Bruce and his wife Jenny went with us. It was a very busy weekend at Lake Powell, so we had a hard time finding a place to camp. We ended up in a campground that was 20 dollars a night and there were lots of parties going on, and so we didn't sleep very well....That part was not fun, I don't think we will stay in the campground again! But on the beach we had a blast swimming and getting muddy in the sand! The weather was a perfect 90 degrees and at night only got into the 60's and the water was still in the 70's! Erin also did some fishing, he caught 3 stripers and a small mouth bass, we ate those for dinner saturday night. My favorite part of the whole weekend was seeing the innocent looks on the kids faces as they played and had a great time, remembering how it was to be a kid and worry free.

CrAzZzy WeAtHeR!!!

Storm drains over flowing.

Bye, bye poor winter squash!

Menasing clouds brewing!

small river flowing in front of our house.

Is it snow? No it's hail!

Coming down very hard!

We had some crazy scarey weather at our house today. Wow, the power went out and it hailed for nearly a half hr. Allmost looked like it snowed in September, it was coming down so very hard. We had thunder and lightning that shook the house. The Fire station Sirons when off, not sure why yet! Maybe lighting started another fire some where. We had a river going down the road in front of our house, and across the street that storm drains were over flowing. Our garden is a gonner too!
