First Day of school!

Alaina is going into the first grade this year,
her teachers name is Mrs. Blackburn!
She's very excited and I hope this is a great year
for her. She's already reading very well and loving it.
Brenden is going into the 4th grade this year
and his teacher is Mrs. Williams.
This is year is going to be a challenging year
for Brenden, but I'm hoping is goes well.

Clayon my stud!
He is in the 6th grade this year! I think
he's excited, feels and acts more mature.
I have 2 middle schoolers, I feel old!

Mackay is in 7th grade this year!
Another year older and a little wiser.
I hope this is a good year from Mackay
and that he continues to improve.

Alaina and Brenden getting on the bus!

Waiting for the bus!

This is year is bitter sweet for me. My kids are
growing up and I don't have a baby at home anymore.
Now is the time I have to figure out what I'm
doing with my life, beyond my family life.
Should I stay home still and volunteer at the school
or do I try and find work? Time flies too quickly.
Like a friend of mine said. I'de like to say I'm going to
be much more productive now, The house will be
spottless, laundry will be done, I'll get all my
errands done and I will have a snack ready
and dinner going as soon as the kids get home
from school. hmmm....I cannot commit to all that
in writing, so don't hold me to it!:)
Also yesterday we got a new.....
Meet "Frizzy", very cutely named by Brenden.
We found this kitten either lost or abandoned
at Erin's parents house! We have recently lost
one of our cats, who either ran away or got lost
and we've been very sad.
So this little guy has been fun to have around.

Part One: Adventures of being a home owner!

Cutting down Trees!
We have some huge trees in our yard and today we got
and estimate on how much it would be to trim this tree.
Let me just tell you it was outrageous! This tree has to
be atleast a hundred years old.
These are just a few of the many we have in the yard.
These had an old tree house in them, it was unsafe
and falling apart. Erin also cut down the tree house today.

Some of these trees on the side of the house are dying,
so Erin has spent the day cutting them down.
The best part is that it is providing us was alot of
fire wood for the winter.

Erin cutting down the lim that was hanging over the house.

Clayton was a big help to Erin, he helped stack
and pack all the wood.

This whole fenced in part of this pasture is part of our property!
