This was our 15th wedding Anniversary!
We have had our many up and downs
over the years, but we have had a very happy
life together. I married a man that is my soul mate
who I love more then anything. We were young
and many didn't believe we would make it.
I hope I can say now that
we have proved them all wrong.
we have proved them all wrong.
This year we took an over night trip. We went
down to Hanksville and past Goblin valley, down
to Muddy Creek to a little place called Hidden splendor.
Sounds amazing right? Well it was a 4 hours drive
on a very bumpy road and when we got there it was
already getting dark. We slept in the back of the
Explorer on a blow up mattress, which ended up
going completely flat by morning. Needless
to say I didn't sleep well. Then on our way home
we stopped a few places and saw some uranium
mines. Back in the late 1800 up until the 1950's
it was a big deal, they say some of the mines are
still radio active. Then we enjoyed a nice ride home
together. All in all, it was great to spend some
one on one time together!
Hidden Splendor!
Down at the bottom of this canyon is
were we camped! The views were just
absolutely Incredible.
Red Sands Mine
The holes for the mines dotted all of the mountains
around this area. Erin hiked up to this one and
went inside, he said it was amazing how big
they actually are. People had drove 4 wheelers
up inside of it.
We assume this was a home of some of the miners, we
found writing on the inside dating 1912.
Jazmine and Sophie!
The little dot in the middle of the picture is Sophie.
She is so funny, she refused to be carried and wants
to be independent and walk all the time.

This was a beautiful area, I would love to take
the kids back to Red sands and go camping
in the spring time.
