I wanted to show off Alaina's new hair cut. Alaina and I both got our hair cut today. Alaina hasn't had her hair cut for a very long time I have been just letting it grow long. But she just looked like she needed a trim, She got a good two inches cut off. We had a fun Mother, Daughter time and It was Alaina's first Salon Experience!

We Moved!!!
I haven't posted anything to recently and I apologize. We've had a very stressful month with this move. But it's all done now and we are getting all settled in just fine, I think we will like it here. The landlord has been very nice and we appreciate that allot. The house is very spacious and cozy. The kids love their rooms, Clayton and Brenden share, Mackay and Alaina have their own rooms. The best thing about this whole move is that the kids are thrilled to be closer to friends that can come over and play, they enjoy that allot and I think it will be really good for the summer too. We've been making improvements on the house, we put in a new counter top in the kitchen, new vinyl in the bathroom, fixing plumbing and we have some painting to do in the very near future too, as well as putting up several new curtains....I'm gonna be busy sewing!
During the move and afterwards we have had a flood of family and Friends helping us, cleaning and moving furniture, making sure things work for us, helping with improvements, babysitting kids and friends with supportive listening ears too. I can't say thank you enough for all they have done for our family. We love you and we appreciate all your love and support you've shown for our family, we feel truly blessed to have all of you in our lives.
Don't forget to come and visit real soon!!!

Brenden's Baptism!

Brenden Joseph was Baptized by his father on January 3, 2009.
It was the most precious day, and one that I hope Brenden will remember for the rest of his life. The morning of his baptism, I was ironing his clothes as he stood by me talking and just glowing. I just had to look at my little boy and feel so proud of him and his decision to get baptized. I don't think there's more joy you can experience as a parent then seeing your children grow and make right choices in thier lives. The baptism was beautiful Erin said everyone word so perfectly and you couldn't get it any better with a loving family that surrounded us. My Step Mother and Mother in law just gave amazing talks, I watched the children watching them with wide eyes hanging on every word as the spirit filled the room. My Step brother Scott sang "Baptism"and it was the most beautiful sound. With time in between baptisms, Scott also sang for us, "Nearer my god to thee".
We had alot of family supporting us, who drove many hours to come to the baptism and I feel so blessed to have such a great family. Thanks to all of you, we love you very much.
Dad and Grandma Jane gave Brenden a set of scriptures for his Birthday/Baptism with his name on them and Brenden couldn't be more thrilled about that. He was so proud to carry them to church the next day. Thank you so much Dad and Jane!!!
We had a wonderful dinner after the baptism at our home and everything was perfect, I was worried we wouldn't have enough food, but ended up having enough food to feed the family again the next day after church. At church on sunday was our last sunday in that ward, we are moving this week and I didn't have to teach primary. I enjoyed the entire day and my heart was just so full. During Sacrament meeting They announced Brenden as the newest member of our ward. I had no intention of getting up to bare my testimony, being as shy as I am...it's way to scarey for me. But with the strong spirit that filled my heart from the day before, I couldn't help my self. It felt like someone lifted me off the seat and held my hand the entire walk to the podium. I don't even remember most of what I said, because the words just flowed out of mouth. But I want you my friends and family to know that I am thankful for my father in heaven and for Jesus his example and sacrifice on my behalf. I love the church and believe that it is true and grateful for it in my life and for all those the surround me and our great examples to me. I can't say enough how much I love my family and all they do for us. I'm grateful the gift of eternal families and know that if i live worthy I can be with them forever.
I do have pictures of Brenden's baptism, I forgot my camera But my mother law had hers and took some for us and as soon as I get those, I will post them here too.
